In the 50th Anniversary year of the Gamma Sigma chapter of the Delta Gamma Fraternity, the National Delta Gamma Bi-Annual Convention was held in Orlando, Florida. Numerous awards were presented at the convention, and numerous honors were bestowed upon Gamma Sigma. Gamma Sigma was nominated to receive the Outstanding Chapter of the Year for Division I Award, Founder's Award, Honorable Chapter Award, and had already won the esteemed Patricia Peterson Danielson Award for two years in a row.

Gamma Sigma was recognized for winning the Patricia Peterson Danielson award, yet again, and then announced to be the runner up winner for the 2006 Outstanding Chapter of the Year, making this chapter of Delta Gamma a "Golden Anchor" chapter.

Delta Gamma - Gamma Sigma chapter was also honored by two highly esteemed awards. Our very own Natalie Cooper was chosen by our Region 6 executives to receive the Roseanne Milan Golden Anchor Award for most outstanding senior in Region 6 of Delta Gamma. DG also won the Spirit of Hannah Award for sisterhood and campus involvement.

The Gamma Sigma chapter's House Corporation and House Corporation President, Penny Horton, won awards for excellence in House Management.
