STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
CSI recognizes the importance of co-curricular education in the development of young adults in strives to provide experiences in a wide range of activities.
With over 490 registered student organizations at the University of Houston, there is a student organization for everybody. There are organizations with a multitude of focuses such as College/Professional, Fraternities/Sororities, Honors, International/Ethnic, Political/Social Action, Recreational/Hobbies, Religious/Spiritual, and everything in between.
Fee Funded Organizations
The Center for Student Involvement houses 7 programming-based organizations. These organizations receive their funding from student fees and work to enrich the lives of all University of Houston students. They work with different and unique areas of interest. Activities Funding Board (AFB)
The Activities Funding Board grants money to student organizations for programming and events.
Homecoming
This annual event welcomes alumni and current students to a celebration of the University. Students comprise the planning board.
Council of Ethnic Organizations (CEO)
The Council of Ethnic Organizations (CEO) has a mission to promote, advance, support, and increase the level of cultural awareness and ethnic diversity at the University of Houston. CEO is comprised of individuals and member organizations that represent the diverse student body and interests of the campus community. CEO welcomes all UH students, so come and get involved today!
Frontier Fiesta
Frontier Fiesta is a diverse showcase for the talents of the University of Houston student body. Each year a piece of our campus is transformed into a fully functional town called "Fiesta City." Attractions include concerts, Broadway-style variety shows, a cook off, a carnival, and Family Fun Day. This student-led festival is a part of a long-standing tradition at UH dating back to the 1940's.
