Fee Funded Organizations

CSI houses 9 programming-based organizations whose funding comes from student fees. CSI Advisors assist student leaders in the management of these organizations, whose work enriches the college experience of all University of Houston students.

The Activities Funding Board grants money to student organizations for programming and events.


Coog Radio

Coog Radio

COOG Radio is a non-profit radio station operated and staffed by students from the University of Houston. Co-founders Conner Clifton, Markley Rogers, and Matt Womack came up with the idea two years ago, but it wasn't until the fall of 2011 that the idea finally came to fruition. COOG Radio not only provides a creative outlet for fellow students to express themselves over the air but also introduces them to the world of broadcasting.


Council of Ethnic Organizations (CEO)

CEO’s mission is to showcase the diversity at the University of Houston by gathering different groups and individuals to work together and create extravagant events so the University of Houston’s students can get a true cultural experience.


Channel 6: Student Video Network (SVN)

The Student Video Network produces original student television programs, commercials, and more. These programs and popular movies are aired on campus on channel 6.

Dance On

Dance On @ UH hosts a number of events throughout the semester leading up to an 18 hour-long Dance Marathon in February. Events include special performances by musical guests, dancers, and other acts as well as speaking engagements with doctors and former patients of Texas Children's Hospital. All proceeds from Dance On go directly to our local Children's Miracle Network children's hospital, Texas Children's Hospital.


Frontier Fiesta

Frontier Fiesta is a diverse showcase for the talents of the University of Houston student body. Each year a piece of our campus is transformed into a fully functional town called "Fiesta City." Attractions include concerts, Broadway-style variety shows, a cook off, a carnival, and Family Fun Day. This student-led festival is a part of a long-standing tradition at UH dating back to the 1940's.

Become involved as a volunteer, or your organization can host a variety show, carnival booth, multicultural performances, and more.


Homecoming

This annual event welcomes alumni and current students to a celebration of the University. Students comprise the planning board.

No dues; 2.0 GPA or above; currently enrolled University of Houston student.


Metropolitan Volunteer Program (MVP)

To foster Volunteering by the UH student body by establishing campus-wide and community service events for all to participate. MVP is now a part of The Center for Leadership and Fraternity and Sorority Life (CLFSL).

Accepts new members Fall and Spring.


Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association at the University of Houston represents the interests of the student body.


Student Program Board (SPB)

The Student Program Board's mission is to provide high-quality educational, enrichment, and entertainment programs that enhance student life at the University of Houston and contribute to overall student development.
