RSO Risk Management Training

Effective immediately, all registered student organizations at the University of Houston will be required to attend annual risk management training. Training for the 2012–2013 year was held on Sunday, November 4th, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. The top three student leaders – the three named on your organization’s registration – are required by law to attend. Students that need to make up the risk management training can attend one of the listed sessions below. Students will need to bring their Cougar ID card to complete the training.

Additionally, advisors are required to attend an "Advisors Only" separate training covering the mandatory topics plus additional resources for advisors on risk management. The training session is currently being videotaped and additional sessions will be offered once the sessions are ready. Sessions are only one hour long. Advisors who are University of Houston Faculty and Staff are required by law to attend, and community advisors are strongly encouraged to attend. Advisors do not need to sign up ahead of time for the workshops.
