The Center for Student Involvement and partners encourage you to show our community our Cougar Spirit and make a difference. Project sites will be assigned randomly and will include working with Generation One – scraping / painting homes and cleaning trash in the Third Ward, The Houston Public Library, Meals on Wheels – preparing breakfast bundles for seniors and AniMeals for their pets, and The Forge for Families – painting, cleaning and organizing facilities that benefit families in the Third Ward.
This event will happen rain or shine. All participants should meet in the Student Center Theater wearing closed toe shoes and work clothes. Participants are required to take the provided transportation and complete liability waivers. Plan appropriately for the weather and bring a hat, sunscreen or raincoat as needed. Water and snacks will be available – but you are encouraged to bring your own.
