Advisor of the Year

This award is presented to an advisor of a registered student organization that has gone above and beyond in serving students to carry out programs. This faculty/staff member is diligent in being available to students and contributing valuable knowledge of UH resources to actively assist members.

Nomination Requirements

Not an advisor in the Center for Student Involvement or the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life
Completed nomination form
A letter of recommendation (no more than 5000 characters) describing why the nominee should be considered for the award including the following information:
- Description of how the advisor has empowered students and demonstrated enthusiasm and support for the student group
- Description of how the advisor has actively participated with the group's activities and member development
Optional: Résumé/Vita and additional letters of recommendation. Email résumé to salo@central.uh.edu

Deadline to submit the nomination form, letter of recommendation, and additional documentation is 5:00 PM on Friday, March 8th, 2013. Nominated individuals and student organizations will be invited to attend the Campus Leaders Reception on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013 at 5:30 PM in the University Center Houston Room.
