Cougar Cricket Club

Cricket, being the most popular sport in the countries like India, England, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and West Indies, now certainly enjoys thousands of fans and followers in the United States. A number of top-tier US Universities like John Hopkins, Purdue, Princeton, MIT, Duke, Boston, Yale, Ohio, Rutgers, Stanford, UT etc. have active cricket clubs.

Cricket has been one of the most popular games at the University of Houston as well. Continuously, for more than 12 years, graduate students at this university have shown a dedicated passion and love for the game, which motivated the inception of Cougars Cricket Club at the University of Houston in August 2009. With a great support from the Department of Recreation Center and commitment of cricket-lovers on campus, the club is determined to establish itself among top university teams playing in a national league under Cricket Council of USA.

The club is open for all the registered students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of Houston. If you are interested in the game of Cricket, we welcome you to come and join the club.
