Community outreach is one of the Center for Public Policy's primary objectives. The Center for Public Policy (CPP) works with several Houston organizations including Global Unisource, Inc, the Greater Houston Partnership, the League of Women Voters, Texas Southern University's Mickey Leland Center, and the Third Ward Community Cloth to promote civic engagement, scientific policy analysis and professional training.

Jim Granato, CPP director, is now serving on the Energy Policy & Development Committee for the Greater Houston Partnership.
League of Women Voters of the Houston Area
Renée Cross, CPP associate
director, has worked with the
League of Women Voters (LWV) of the Houston Area for a number of years.
Former board member, health committee member and LWV participant, Renée
has written reports, drafted and formatted newsletters, developed meeting
presentations, assisted with event organization and voter registration drives,
recruited volunteers and assigned interns to the LWV.
