Photo of woman climbingThe University of Houston Women’s Forum will open its first annual gathering, What's Next: Exploring the Edge, with an invitation to women of discovery—to the explorers and would-be explorers among us—to gather for an evening and a day.

What do women in the vanguard of business, the arts, the media, science and technology, health care, education, and adventure need in order to move forward? Sometimes, it’s a space to reflect and share ideas, resources, and support, or the opportunity to collect new “equipment”—for the next part of the journey. The UH Women’s Forum is committed to creating such opportunities by providing a place for women to renew themselves through learning and the experience of community.

Something powerful happens when intrepid women come together and share. There is an exchange of stories, experiences, and tools. And, of course, there’s food, fun, creativity, and laughter. When the gathering ends, each woman returns to exploring the edges of her world, taking with her renewed energy and enthusiasm, new connections and ideas, new strengths and perspectives.
