The Health Care industry is experiencing a strong demand for qualified Medical Transcriptionists.
Medical Transcription
Medical Transcriptionists create and proof the legal medical records relied upon by virtually all health care professionals including physicians, pharmacists, therapists, nurses, dieticians, chiropractors, etc. In addition, the Medical Transcriptionist is required to identify any inconsistencies in documentation to the provider to ensure that accurate documentation of care is provided.
The Medical Transcription program gives our students the training they need to begin a career in this rewarding profession.
This 24-week program prepares our students for the Certified Medical Transcriptionist exam, enabling them to earn a widely recognized industry certification.
Prerequisites
A high school diploma or GED. Students should have 12th-grade proficiency in English. Students without strong typing skills may require additional training course and coursework.
