Medical Administrative Assisting

Medical Administrative Assistants perform a broad range of tasks to keep hospitals, clinics and the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, optometrists and other types of medical facilities running smoothly. They answer telephones, greet patients, update and file patient medical records, fill out insurance forms, handle correspondence, schedule appointments, arrange for hospital admission and laboratory services, and handle bookkeeping.

The Medical Administrative Assisting program gives our students the training they need to get a fast start on a rewarding career.

This 20-week program prepares our students for entry-level positions such as Medical Records Technician, Medical Secretary, Medical Billing Specialist and other similar roles.

Pre-requisites

A high school diploma or GED. Students should have 12th-grade proficiency in English. Students without strong typing skills may require additional training course and coursework.
