Accounting and Bookkeeping

Bookkeepers are accounting professionals who serve as an organization’s financial recordkeepers. They update and maintain accounting records, including expenditures, receipts, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss. They have a wide range of skills, from full-charge bookkeepers who can maintain an entire company’s books to accounting clerks who handle specific accounts. They make numerous computations each day and must be comfortable using computers. Job titles in this field include Bookkeeper, Accounting Technician, Accounting Assistant, Billing Clerk, Payroll Administration, and others.

This 27-week program prepares our students for the Certified Bookkeeper exam, which enables them to earn a widely recognized industry certification from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
