The School Readiness Certification System (SRCS) is a quality rating system designed by the State Center for Early Childhood Development at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston to certify early childhood education programs that effectively prepare children for school as “Texas School Ready™.”
When parents walk through the doors of UH Children's Learning Centers they can be assured that the educational components are in place to prepare their child to succeed in school. The Center became one of the first PIONEER Texas School Ready™ sites in the state of Texas in September 2007.
Because of the TEEM (Texas Early Education Model) program’s focus on quality, more of our community’s children are entering kindergarten with the cognitive and social skills they need to be successful students. By offering young children a fun, stimulating and meaningful learning environments, the TEEM schools are proving children a positive educational foundation that will stay with then throughout their academic years to help them succeed in school and beyond.
