Scholarship information for current Theatre & Dance majors

PLEASE NOTE: Incoming freshman are not eligible for department scholarships.

Please print out this scholarship form, fill it out completely, and mail to Carolyn Houston Boone by April 15. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarship recipients will be informed by the end of the semester. The School of Theatre & Dance awards thousands of dollars each year (in gifts ranging from $500 - $1500), so don't miss the deadline!

Graduate Students:

The School of Theatre & Dance offers limited Teaching Assistantships and out-of-state tuition wavers for students in the Professional Theatre Training Program.

Students studying in the MA for Scholars track are eligible for tuition waivers and stipends. Please email Dr. Robert Shimko for more information.

Amount of Scholarship: $1000

Who: Eligible students will have successfully applied for and been accepted to the BFA Program at The University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance. Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the major while enrolled in the program and have no more than three absences in theatre courses to remain eligible to reapply.

What: Scholarship to be awarded to a BFA student entering the program at UH.

When: Application Deadline for Scholarship application is May 15, 2013. The $1000 Award will be placed in the student’s bursar account to be applied to tuition.

Where: Students must return all scholarship materials in one 8 ½ x 11 envelope
