Biography

Professional credits include Broadway's first national tour of Wicked!, Jennifer Muller/The Works, the Kevin Wynn Collection, and the Freddick Bratcher and Company Contemporary Dance Theatre. In 2004 she received her BFA from SUNY Purchase with a minor in psychology, graduating with honors. Courtney has performed the works of Jose Limon, Mark Morris, Doug Varone, Jacqulyn Buglisi, and Roger C. Jeffrey. In 2008 she joined the cast of Show Boat, accomplishing a long-standing goal to perform at Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall! Since returning to Houston she has been seen in numerous productions including Auntie Mame, Panto Pinocchio, and In the Next Room at Stages Repertory Theatre, A Chorus Line and Urban Cowboy the Musical with Theatre Under the Stars, and  Die Fledermaus and Show Boat with Houston Grand Opera.  Ms. Jones is a company member with Hope Stone Dance, a consultant of modern, musical theatre, composition and repertory at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, on staff at the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre, a guest and master class teacher both locally and in New York, and a freelance choreographer under her own CDJ Project. In 2012 she was named one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch.”
