Research Projects

Joy Luck Academy

This National Cancer Institute funded 5-year project is the first randomized controlled trial (RCT) to test a culturally sensitive social support intervention among Asian American breast cancer survivors, Joy Luck Academy (JLA). If JLA is demonstrated to effectively improve the well-being among Chinese American cancer survivors, it may be easily disseminated as a low-cost intervention for other groups of Asian American breast cancer survivors across the country. Programs like JLA could be integrated into other diverse communities.
