About

The Personality Across Development Lab’s main focus is to study child personality and how it is related to behavior, how it affects children’s relationships with their friends and parents, and how early personality traits may be indicators of later common behavioral problems. In addition, the Tackett Lab is currently conducting research studying cross-cultural differences in internalizing/externalizing personality disorders, as well as adolescent gambling. Our research protocol includes genetic analysis, child and parent interviewing, survey/questionnaires, and other tasks meant to elicit common personality traits. The Personality Across Development Lab in the Clinical Research Services Center is a branch that was originally established in Toronto, and will be ongoing in Houston. The Tackett Lab will also be coordinating our research with other top research universities, including the University of Texas.
