In the Anxiety Disorder Clinic Research Lab, our focus is on better understanding the nature of anxiety, fear, and anxiety disorders, and to translate that knowledge and understanding into improved treatments for anxiety disorders and related conditions. Our research involves both basic psychopathology studies as well as ongoing clinical trials.
The lab is run by Dr. Peter J. Norton and has been funded by the University of Houston, the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute of Drug Abuse, the American Psychological Association, and the PsiChi National Honor Society.
Dr. Norton and the Anxiety Disorder Clinic Research Lab are accepting new graduate student applications for the Fall 2012 semester.
