The 83rd Texas State Legislature Session convened on January 8, 2013 and is scheduled to end after 140 days on May 27, 2013. CLASS salutes our alums serving as elected officials in this session and all of whom earned bachelor’s degrees in the Department of Political Science.

The Center for International and Comparative Studies welcomes to campus Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to General Colin Powell through Powell’s tenures as National Security Advisor, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State.

The Master of Public Administration Program presents the 2nd annual award ceremony to acknowledge the work of unelected public officials in municipal and regional government. The keynote address will be delivered by Jeff Moseley, former president of the Greater Houston Partnership.
