Alumni of the Texas Music Festival have gone on to enjoy careers in all aspects of the arts, from performance to management:
- Alan Daowz, cello – member, Catrina Quartet, faculty New Mexico State University
- Richard Dowling, piano (2009 TMF soloist) – opened Dowling Music stores in Houston and in Steinway Hall in New York City. Dowling manages this entrepreneurial enterprise between his many engagements as a performing artist with the Piatigorsky Foundation and as a solo pianist.

- Aaron Goldman, flute – member, National Symphony Orchestra
- Lorento Golofeev, viola – member, Houston Grand Opera and Ballet orchestras
- Andrew Gott, bassoon – member, St. Louis Symphony

- Chris Johnson, violin – host of “The Afternoon Concert” and technical director of “The Front Row”, KUHF-Houston Public Radio
- Miles Maner, bassoon – Associate Principal Bassoon, Kansas City Symphony Orchestra and Principal Bassoon, Breckenridge Music Festival
- Colleen Matheu Johnson, flute/piccolo – member, Houston Ballet Orchestra

- Robert Pagan, flute – Director of Operations, New York Youth Symphony
