The Journal of Global Viet Diaspora is edited by Long Le (University of Houston) and co-edited by Yuk Wah Chan (City University of Hong Kong) and Mark A. Ashwill (Capstone Vietnam). The Journal of Global Viet Diaspora promotes the publication of high-quality research on Vietnamese diasporic experiences, broadly defined.

Southeast Asia Study Abroad This trip is designed to allow students to learn about economic, cultural, and political transformations in four Southeast Asian countries. Students will see first-hand the different stage of development that characterizes each one of the four countries.  The program is open to all University of Houston undergraduate students.

Vietnam Study Abroad  This trip is designed to give students an opportunity to learn about business practices “on the ground” by immersing students in local culture, learning from on-site visits with local and foreign companies, briefing with U.S. Embassy officials, interact with seasoned scholars, and meet with UH alumni who are working in Vietnam as professors, global managers, and social entrepreneurs. The trip is only open to graduate students.

Microfinance Program in Vietnam This student-run program provides loans at a 0% interest rate to qualifying borrowers who will use the loan towards improving their economic condition and to create a better life for themselves and their family. The range of the loan will depend on the needs of the borrower.

Vietnamese American Business Survey The Survey provides the needed data on the history, growth, and socioeconomic presence of Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurship in Southwest Houston. The findings from this survey would provide researchers and civic leaders the information needed to understand the needs and interests of Houston's Vietnamese business community.
