A limited number of graduate assistantships are available. There are two types of graduate assistants, Teaching Assistants (usually four per semester) and Instructional Assistants (usually two per semester). Selection criteria include academic record, teaching ability, and ability to fulfill the various duties required of the position. Fall 2013 Scholarship Selection Criteria
The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Scholarship
The scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000, and will be awarded in its entirety in the fall 2013 semester to assist with tuition payment. The fund is used to provide competitive scholarship waiver, allowing an out-of-state student to pay in-state tuition.
- Scholarship recipient must be unconditionally admitted to the graduate program in the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication for fall 2013.
- Scholarship recipient must not have been funded otherwise.
The scholarship selection committee shall consider the key components in application packet including undergraduate GPA, GRE scores, personal statement, and letters of recommendation in making its selection. There are no restrictions to applicants based on gender, race, nationality, physical disability or sexual orientation.
