A limited number of graduate assistantships are available. There are two types of graduate assistants, Teaching Assistants (usually four per semester) and Instructional Assistants (usually two per semester). Selection criteria include academic record, teaching ability, and ability to fulfill the various duties required of the position. Scholarship Selection Criteria
The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Scholarship
A small number of $1000 scholarships may be available (pending funding) to highly-qualified applicants. All students applying to the program will be considered for these scholarships.
- Scholarship recipient must be unconditionally admitted to the graduate program in the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication.
- Scholarship recipient must not have been funded otherwise.
The scholarship selection committee shall consider the key components in application packet including undergraduate GPA, GRE scores, personal statement, and letters of recommendation in making its selection. There are no restrictions to applicants based on gender, race, nationality, physical disability or sexual orientation.
