Day of the Child/Dia del Niño

On Saturday, April 25, 2015, graduate students from the ComD program provided hearing screenings for Dia del Niño/ Day of the Child, a health fair sponsored by the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Fair was held at the Magnolia Multi-Services Center where the ComD program operates a satellite speech and hearing clinic. Thirty-one people, 14 children and 17 adults, received a hearing screening. Fifty-two percent of the adults passed their screening and 78.5 percent of the children passed. Referrals were provided to those who did not pass.
