The Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture Series is a collaboration between the School of Art and Blaffer Art Museum to bring visiting artists and scholars to the University of Houston. The organizing theme for the 2012- 2013 series is “Materiality” which is inspired by the School of Art curriculum and by Blaffer Art Museum’s twenty year survey exhibition of work by American sculptor Tony Feher.
A collaborative project which brings together a wide range of writers to share the special places that make the Bayou City unique. The event brings writers Phillip Lopate, Miah Arnold, and William Monroe to read in the UH Honors College.
