Join us for conversation and lunch with artist David Politzer about Blaffer’s current exhibition, Candice Breitz: The Woods, on view until Sept. 6. Brown Bag Gallery Talks are fun, lively conversations held with each exhibition, and we welcome audiences on and off campus to partake. Lunch provided after the talks.
Artist David Politzer is an Assistant Professor of Photography/Digital Media at the School of Art, University of Houston. He is the recipient of the 2011 Houston Center for Photography Carol Crow Fellowship Award. Politzer has held solo exhibitions at Artspace (New Haven, CT), Museum of Northern Arizona, Real Art Ways (Hartford, CT), Roswell Museum and Art Center (Roswell, NM) and Lawndale Art Center (Houston, TX). Group show and screening venues include the Bronx Museum of the Arts, New Mexico Museum of Art, El Paso Museum of Art, the Soap Factory (Minneapolis, MN), Southern Exposure (San Francisco, CA), Vox Populi (Philadelphia, PA), the Syracuse International Film Festival, video_dumbo (Brooklyn and New York, NY) and Gallery Korea (New York, NY). He was an artist in residence at Djerassi, Yaddo, the Skowhegan School, and Roswell Artist in Residence.
He holds an MFA from Syracuse University.
