Impact Congo Students Association (ICSA) – University of Houston, presents its first "Breaking the Silence" lecture with guest speaker Mr. Kambale Musavuli.
Mr. Musavuli, a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a human rights activist and National Spokesperson for “Friends of the Congo” in Washington D.C. The event is aiming to educate students and faculty on what is being called "Africa's World War," a conflict that has taken the lives of 6 million people, with countless women being raped since 1996 in the D. R. Congo. The event will begin with the screening of the 26 min documentary “Crisis in the Congo.”
