The composer of iconic film scores such as The Godfather, Zeffirelli’s Romeo and Juliet, and Fellini’s La dolce vita, La strada, and 8 ½ also wrote this charming and disarming farce that moves like the wind with bountiful bel canto melodies and a large, eccentric cast of characters.
