The UH Law Center’s Center for U.S. and Mexican Law and the Houston Center for Photography have joined forces to bring to Houston the photography exhibition, Aliento a Tequila, by renowned photographer Joel Salcido. The exhibition will be on view in the lobby of the Wells Fargo Plaza from May 2 to May 30, 2014. The building hours are Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. This exhibition is FREE and open to the public. Curated by Roy Flukinger, M.A., Senior Curator of Photography & Film, Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, The University of Texas at Austin.

Antena is a language justice and language experimentation collaborative founded in 2010 by Jen Hofer and John Pluecker, both of whom are writers, artists, literary translators, bookmakers and activist interpreters. FromJ anuary 18 – May 10, 2014, Antena will be in residence at Blaffer, where they will inhabit various spaces of the museum to explore how critical views on language can help us to reimagine and rearticulate the worlds we live in.

The University of Houston Libraries now offers a series of technology training courses open to all UH students, faculty and staff.
Courses cover Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and content are tailored for basic, intermediate and advanced skill levels. More courses will be added to the rotation, including training on software such as Outlook, iMovie, Live Movie Maker, InDesign and other commonly-used programs.
Sessions run for 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the topic and skill level, and most sessions will take place in the Learning Commons training areas. Session Timings: (See the link below) Morning Sessions: (10AM to 12PM) Afternoon Sessions: (2PM to 4PM) Evening Sessions: (6PM to 8PM)
