BREAKING THE SILENCE: Impact Congo Students Association (ICSA) – University of Houston, presents its first annual “Breaking the Silence” lecture with guest speaker Mr. Kambale Musavuli, on Thursday, April 25th, 2013 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM @ Classroom Business Building (CBB) Room 124. Mr. Musavuli, a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is a human rights activist and National Spokesperson for “Friends of the Congo” in Washington D.C. The event is aiming to educate students and faculty on what is being called "Africa's World War," a conflict that has taken the lives of 6 million people, with countless women being raped since 1996 in the D. R. Congo. The event will begin with the screening of the 26 min documentary “Crisis in the Congo.” FREE FOOD AND DRINKS will be served.
