Antena is a language justice and language experimentation collaborative founded in 2010 by Jen Hofer and John Pluecker, both of whom are writers, artists, literary translators, bookmakers and activist interpreters. From January 18 – May 10, 2014, Antena will be in residence at Blaffer, where they will inhabit various spaces of the museum to explore how critical views on language can help us to reimagine and rearticulate the worlds we live in. url:

On March 21, the Cullen College of Engineering and the Rockwell Distinguished Lecture Series will present “America’s Energy Future,” a talk by Felipe Bayon from BP surrounding the future of the energy industry’s needs and challenges. Bayon, who serves as Senior Vice President of BP America and heads the company’s Global Deepwater Response Group, will touch on his own personal energy industry experience spanning from Colombia to the United States as well as BP’s high-level view of the future global energy picture.
