Gallery Talk: Jillian Conrad on Richard Rezac

Join us for a gallery talk on “Richard Rezac: Address” presented by Jillian Conrad, associate professor in the sculpture department at the University of Houston. After the talk, visitors are invited to bring their lunch and join in the conversation at Blaffer’s café.

About the Speaker
Jillian Conrad received a Bachelor of Science from St. John’s College, New Mexico and an M.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design. Recent awards include the Artadia Artist’s Award (New York), Houston Arts Alliance Individual Artist Grant (Houston) and the Kittredge Trust (Boston). She has participated in numerous residencies, including Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (New York) Headlands Center for the Arts (Sausalito), the Core Program at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (Houston), Triangle International Artist Residency (New York), Lower Eastside Printshop (New York) and the Marie Walsh Sharpe Space Program (New York). Exhibitions include “40 Years of Discovery: The Gifts of Clint Willour”, MFAH, (Houston), “Silent h, Central Features, (Albuquerque), “Exact Nature,” Devin Borden Gallery, (Houston), “Sites and Settlements,” Behal Fejer Institute, (Prague, Czech Republic). Conrad’s work has been discussed in numerous publications including Artforum, Art Lies, New York Times and ...might be good.
