Alecia Lawyer Lecture
Moores School of Music welcomes Alecia Lawyer, founder and artistic director of River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, to campus for a lecture in Dudley Recital Hall.
Before her lecture, from 9 a.m. until noon, she will meet with students for 30-minute slots in the Moores School of Music conference room (MSM 120). Please note that these special meetings will be conducted on a first come/first serve basis.
About the Artist
Named “One of Classical Music’s Top 30 Influencers for 2015” by Musical America, Lawyer is the founder, artistic director and principal oboist of River Oaks Chamber Orchestra (ROCO), Houston’s revered professional music ensemble. ROCO is a dynamic and innovative professional music ensemble that flexes from one to 40 players from all over the U.S. and Canada, with guest artists from around the world.
