Supreme Court of Texas Oral Arguments

For the first time in more than a decade, the Supreme Court of Texas will convene at the University of Houston Law Center to hear oral arguments in two civil cases.

This two hour training will provide attendees the skills and confidence to share their personal stories and experiences to educate our campus about LGBTQ people and issues.

Director's Faculty Artist Series: Samuel Barber Tribute

Curated by Timothy Hester The Moores School of Music will celebrate the music of Samuel Barber (1910-1981), the gifted American Composer who infused expressive romantic lyricism into 20th-century classical music. Pre-concert remarks and program notes will be given by Dr. Howard Pollack, UH John and Rebecca Moores Professor of Music History. The performance will showcase 13 faculty members from the string, wind, voice and keyboard areas. Works will include Dover Beach, Summer Music, Piano Sonata, Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and the String Quartet.
