CACDS conducts regular courses on a variety of topics relevant to scientific computing. Past course topics have included introductory and advanced training on programming languages; data management tools and best practices; and sessions focused on using Opuntia and other CACDS resources. Most courses and in houes trainings are held in CACDS's own training facilities in the MREB and are generally structured as a brief lectures interweaved by many hands-on sessions. The trainings are offered at no cost to members of the UH community and the current list of offerings can be found on the training page.
In addition to training lead by CACDS team members, the Core facility for Advanced Compting and Data Science routinely invites industry experts and hardware/software vendors for workshops and seminars focusing on scientific computing.
