Vista Test Taking Best Practices
  • Use a reliable network connection. Use a hardwired connection rather than a wireless connection to the Internet to avoid interruptions while taking an online test.
  • Make sure that when you connect your network cable to your computer, you also disable the wireless receiver so that it does not override or interfere with the wired connection.
  • Your instructor controls how long you have for the quiz and how many attempts you have. Look for this information in the quiz instructions.
  • If you do not have any more attempts and you need more, contact your instructor.
  • If you get disconnected while taking a quiz and you still have time left, restart your browser and enter the quiz again. Click the "Continue Assessment" button.
  • If you are allowed more than one attempt, you must click "Finish" before you can make another attempt.
  • Be careful with a scrolling mouse so you don't accidentally change your quiz answers. After you select an answer, be sure to click outside the answer box to avoid changing it accidentally.
  • Be sure to click "Save Answer" again, after you change an answer.
  • Be sure to click "Finish" when you are done with the quiz.
  • If your instructor displays the correct answers, they are marked with a green check on the right. The answers you selected are marked with a gray check on the left.
