OFFICER DUTIES PRESIDENT Well, the president of AWC has many jobs. This person is the "glue" of our organization. She sets up the calendar for both group and officer meetings as well as finds community service projects for the organization to participate in. She will have many opportunites to make numerous contacts. This position is time consuming, but well worth it. She also teaches the President-Elect so that she may take over in the next year. VICE PRESIDENT The Vice President attends all group meetings and officer meetings. Also, you will help the President when needed. Attend all the meetings with President and Treasurer. If the president is absent, it is up to the VP to fill in. The VP is also in charge of community service projects; one each semester. TREASURER Treasurer is in charge of the finances of AWC. She will need to know how to balance a checkbook. It is not extremely time consuming, but one will need to set time aside every week to make sure things are on track. This person will be responsible for making payments, reimbursements, and purchases throughout the year. PUBLIC RELATIONS Publicity has a very important job. They are to let the members know about the upcoming meetings and events within AWC. They are to make informational posters 2 weeks before each meeting to be displayed around school and borards at the Comm. Building, The Satellite, The UC, and others around campus. Keeping the boards updated is VERY important. Also, this officer is to attend all meetings and help out with other events. HISTORIAN As historian of AWC student chapter, your responsibilites include taking pictures at all meetings. As an officer (regardless of your position) you need to be willing to help the other officers on projects they are working on or duties they may need help with. AWC is a great organization and leadership skills will only help make the student chapter better. SECRETARY Record accurate minutes of all AWC meetings. Keep the organization's permanent records/archives. Update all roster information (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, etc.) Maintain official membership record. Attend all meetings and attend as many functions as possible. WEBMASTER The duties of the Webmaster shall consist of managing and updating AWC's website in an effective and timely manner.
