UPDATE:  Tree of Joy|11-23-09

Alpha Lambda Delta is pleased to announce our Tree of Joy Project, taking place from now until the end of the semester!  We set up a tree in the MVP office of the UC Underground and are collecting donated toys for underprivileged children in the spirit of the holidays.  Join our Facebook event to spread the word!

UPDATE:  End of semester events| 11-04-09

Thank you to everyone who has been active so far this fall!  The semester is coming to a close, so this month will be our last events.  Our social will be on November 12th @ the Maui Wowi on campus (across from the rec) from 4:30 to 6:30 PM.  Come out for a break from all that schoolwork & drinks on us!  We will also be having a Bake Sale on November 19th @ UC from 10 to 2:30 PM.  Our Tree of Joy project will take place this month until the end of the semester.  Don't forget to check your e-mails periodically for any updates!

UPDATE: Football game social & Halloween volunteering | 10-06-09

Hello members!

Our Football Game Social, UH v. SMU is coming up on October 24th.  We will be meeting as a group in front of SEC @ 5:30PM & will provide drinks for all members during the game!  Friends are welcome to join, but we can only offer drinks to our members.  Our Halloween Volunteering event @ the Children's Museum of Houston is soon after on October 27th from 6:30PM to 8:30PM.  Carpool will be available in front of the UC @ 5:15PM.   Continue checking your emails and our calendar for updated information about our events! 

Don't forget about our next meeting on November 3rd & 4th!  Come out to hear about our big Tree of Joy project we are planning this fall!

Thank you to all those who made induction a success!  We’d also like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Earwood for your delightful presence at our ceremony.  Congratulations to our 2009 chapter for being recognized TWICE this year!  We won the Order of the Torch and the Lampadia Chapter Website Award!  Way to go UH!

If you would like to order more pictures from the Induction ceremony, please contact me via email before the end of next week.  We are only selling the individual pictures, family pictures, and group pictures.  Remember to indicate what size picture you would like to purchase (4x6 or 5x7) and how much of each.

Our Gallery has been updated with pictures from the first few events this year (with many more to come)!

Welcome back members! 

Congratulations to our 2008-2009 ALD chapter for winning the Order of the Torch!  The Order of the Torch is the annual award for the most outstanding chapters of Alpha Lambda Delta in the nation, so congratulations on this prestigious recognition. 

We will be holding the Induction Ceremony for the new 2009-2010 members on Sunday, September 6th from 3:00PM to 6:00PM in the Houston Room on the 2nd floor of the UC.  We will also be celebrating our 2008-2009 Order of the Torch Award! 

We have plenty of new & exciting events and ideas planned for this year.  Don’t miss out on our meetings to hear all about them!  

Our meetings will be held on Tuesdays(UC Lone Star) & Wednesdays(UC Spindletop) at 4:00PM according to the following dates:

- Sept. 1 & 2
- Oct. 6 & 7
- Nov. 3 & 4
