SAM Rescissions

The following System Administrative Memoranda were rescinded by the Chancellor as official system policy:
 
SAM Number and Name Reason for Rescission
SAM 02.C.03 - Group Insurance Relevant policy information in SAMs 02.C.03 and 02.E.01 was combined into the recently rewritten SAM 02.C.01 – Employee Benefits Program. This rewritten policy provides a general description of the standard benefit programs available to eligible System employees.
SAM 02.C.04 - Tax Deferred Annuity Program Relevant policy information in SAMs 02.C.04 and 02.C.06 was included in the recently rewritten SAM 02.C.02 – Supplemental Retirement Programs. This rewritten policy describes the three different voluntary supplemental retirement programs available to eligible System employees and outlines the procedures for complying with the Internal Revenue Code requirements for contributions to these supplemental retirement programs.
SAM 02.C.06 - Deferred Compensation Program Relevant policy information in SAMs 02.C.04 and 02.C.06 was included in the recently rewritten SAM 02.C.02 – Supplemental Retirement Programs. This rewritten policy describes the three different voluntary supplemental retirement programs available to eligible System employees and outlines the procedures for complying with the Internal Revenue Code requirements for contributions to these supplemental retirement programs.
SAM 02.C.07 - Teacher Retirement Program Relevant policy information in SAM 02.C.07 was combined with the new SAM 02.C.05 – Mandatory Retirement Programs. This policy was written to describe the options available to eligible System employees for mandatory retirement contributions.
SAM 02.E.01 - Miscellaneous Benefits Relevant policy information in SAMs 02.C.03 and 02.E.01 was combined into the recently rewritten SAM 02.C.01 – Employee Benefits Program. This rewritten policy provides a general description of the standard benefit programs available to eligible System employees.
