The following System Administrative Memoranda were approved by Chancellor Khator as official system policies during Quarter 3, Fiscal Year 2017 (March, April, and May, 2017):

SAM 02.A.26 - Employee Development and Training

Revised Section 1 to say "personal and professional development." Added Section 2.6 for System universities to develop succession planning for critical positions within their university based on senior leadership positions. Removed "annual" from Section 2.7 on mandatory training, and added Texas Labor Code, Section 21.010. Added Section 2.7.1 on new System employees completing New Hire Mandatory Training within 30 days. Section 2.7.2 also adds the requirement for established System employees to complete annual mandatory training. Added Section 2.7.3 for the supervisor's responsibility for monitoring employee training performance.
SAM 02.A.26 was a part of the Quarter 3, FY 2017 Campus Review cycle for Board of Regents (BOR) redlines per documentation in SAM 01.A.01, Section 7.7.
SAM 03.B.02 - Contracting with Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs)
April 12, 2017
Updated titles and links as applicable. No other additional changes were made by the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
SAM 03.B.02 was part of the Quarter 3, FY 2017 Review cycle as a housekeeping change.
