SUMMER ROAD AND PARKING LOT MAINTENANCE SCHEDULED
Houston, June 25, 2013 – Parking and Transportation Services
will be performing maintenance on various lots and entrances
during the summer break.

Risk Management, which processes motor vehicle record
checks for those who operate university owned or leased
vehicles, has designated Brenda Meade as the person who
will handle this duty.
UH DINING HITS MAJOR MILESTONE
For the first time ever, more than a million
meals were served in a single academic year
in the dining halls on campus.
UH FLAG WILL BE LOWERED IN MEMORY OF ALUMNUS
A memorial service is scheduled for June 22 in
honor of George Hall, a cherished donor and
friend to the university.
FIREWORKS NOT ALLOWED ON UH CAMPUS
With the Fourth of July holiday just three
weeks away, the University of Houston Fire
Marshal’s Office would like to remind everyone
that fireworks are not allowed on campus or
within the city limits of Houston.
UH POLICE OFFICER TO PLAY IN CHARITY HOCKEY GAME
University of Houston Police Officer Jeremy Nino
will be taking part in a charity hockey game on
June 15 to raise money for the families of the
firefighters killed and injured in a May 31 hotel
blaze in southwest Houston.
BOILER TESTING MAY LEAD TO LOUD NOISES
Throughout the day on Friday, June 7,
Victory Energy will be running and
testing the new boiler located in the
Central Plant. This could cause a loud release
of excess steam that may be heard and seen across
FLAGS FLOWN AT HALF STAFF IN RESPECT FOR FIRE FIGHTERS
The University of Houston is flying the State of Texas
and the University of Houston flag at half-staff today
as a mark of respect for the brave City of Houston fire
fighters who perished while serving their community on
May 31, 2013.
CUSTOMERS WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY FRESH FOOD COMPANY OVER THE SUMMER
After offering summer meal plans and receiving considerable purchasing
support from students, the Fresh Food Company will operate seven days
a week during the summer session for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
