UH Dining Partners with Office of Sustainability During Earth Week

Houston, April 15, 2016 —University of Houston Dining Services invites the UH community to take part in the UH Earth Week event from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, inside the Fresh Food Company's Green Mountain Energy Company Dining Room.

"UH Dining will also host a 'Do It Yourself' vegan parfait tutorial," said Travis Ramirez, UH Dining registered dietitian. "Participants will be able to craft their own parfait in a mason jar according to their lifestyle and nutritional needs."

Parfait selections will include soy or almond yogurt, an assortment of seasonal fruit, granola, nuts, seeds, chocolate sauce, honey and maple syrup. Participants are welcome to take the provided mason jar home and use it to create another item like a decorative lamp or pen holder.
