UHPD Officer Plays Ice Hockey for a Great Cause

Houston, Aug 18, 2014 — University of Houston Police Officer Jeremy Nino will be participating in an ice hockey tournament to benefit the family of Houston firefighter Daniel Groover, who died July 9 while battling a house fire.

Nino will be playing with the Enforcers, the Houston Police Department's hockey team.

The public is invited to attend this free event on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23 at the Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center, 16225 Lexington Blvd. There will be T-shirts and other items for sale at the event. Proceeds will be donated to the Groover family.
