Student Wins 'Take A Break' Basket During Earth Day Celebration

Houston, April 29, 2014 - This is the third year that UH Printing and Postal Services has participated in Earth Day.

Xi Mau - Take a Break Winner

UH Printing earned its certification in 2012 as a certified Forest Stewardship Council printer, a distinguished designation that demonstrates its commitment to sustainability. By receiving the certification, the department does its part to promote and use responsibly-produced paper for printing projects.

By participating in the annual Earth Day celebration on April 22, UH Printing and Postal Services is able to let the campus community know how it personally supports UH's green initiative.

This time, the "Take a Break" Basket competition game was a word scramble. The participants had to identify words relating to the paper industry to be eligible for the door prize drawing. The lucky winner this year was Xi Mau, who said this was the first time she had ever won anything and was happy to claim her basket of goodies.
