Misty Pierce Joins UH Dining as New Food Service Director

Houston, August 31, 2016 —University of Houston Dining Services welcomes Misty Pierce as the new residential food services director for the Fresh Food Company and Cougar Woods Dining Hall.

Pierce joins the team with 20 years of experience in the food service industry. She previously has worked with several Aramark accounts, including UH Dining Services as a retail food service director and as a district marketing manager for Houston Independent School District.

"I enjoy working in food service and am looking forward to enhancing the residential program at the University of Houston," Pierce said.

Her responsibilities include working to ensure customer service is exceeding expectations, coordinating with each residential management team and collaborating with several departments including marketing, finance and operations.

"My goal is to help our residential programs flourish in food service, menu selections and to provide outstanding customer service," she said.

While serving with the company, she has received several honors, including two gold awards for her accomplishments at UH and the Houston Independent school district programs. Gold awards are a part of Aramark's Encore, Encore! employee appreciation program and are given to employees within the company who exemplify excellence and achievement.

"One of my memorable gold awards was when I completed our grand opening of the renovated Student Center at the University of Houston in 2014," she said.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, including a 3-year-old daughter and a 5-month-old son. She also enjoys shopping, reading and watching "The Big Bang Theory" with her family.

"I love spending time with my family and going shopping or on family outings together," she said.
