National Preparedness Month: Be Ready for a Hurricane

Houston, Sept. 9, 2016 — How prepared are you for a hurricane?

September is National Preparedness Month. There is no better time for members of the University of Houston community to get prepared for a hurricane or tropical storm than right now.

The UH Office of Emergency Management wants everyone to be prepared - both here on campus and at home with family.

In preparation, everyone should take a little over a minute to watch "When the Waves Swell," a video provided by FEMA. Investing in a few minutes now can save hours later.

Additional information can also be found on the University of Houston Office of Emergency Management website.
