Houston, April 29, 2015 — Available now through the University of Houston bookstore is new custom graduation regalia that bachelor's and master's students will be revealing during the new general commencement ceremony in TDECU Stadium.

Felix Robinson, general manager of Barnes & Noble Bookstores @ UH, said he was approached recently by the Office of Admissions and the Special Events Office about the possibility of the changes, which include more use of school colors.

After several months reviewing possible options, the proposed gowns were presented for approval through the Admissions staff, the Commencement Committee and then the Chancellor's Executive Committee.

"Once approved, we presented the gowns to the graduating students during the spring graduation fair, with an overwhelming 'Yes!' response from them," Robinson said.
