Cullen Boulevard Project Will Impact Traffic

Houston, May 12, 2014 - Major repair work to Cullen Boulevard is scheduled to begin Monday, May 12, and continue throughout the summer.

The project, which is being undertaken by the city of Houston, will involve replacing sections of concrete from Elgin to Wheeler on both the southbound and northbound lanes.

Motorists should expect to encounter lane closures throughout the course of the three-month project. The initial impact is expected at Elgin and Cullen, where the work is slated to begin. Sidewalks may also be impacted.

The work is expected to continue through mid-August and be completed in time for the start of the fall semester.
