Houston, July 13, 2016 —University of Houston Dining Services announces Chris Conti as the new retail food service director.

Conti will manage more than 20 campus retail locations, including those at the Student Center and SC Satellite, as well as seven convenience stores.

In his new role, he will be responsible for maintaining customer standards and satisfaction, coordinating with the retail management team, ensuring that each location is meeting the brand standards, and collaborating with multiple departments including marketing, finance and operations.

Conti is not new to the food service industry, having spent the last five years as food service director at the University of Houston-Downtown. During his time at UH-Downtown, he gained several Aramark awards, including most inspiring manager in 2012 and a One Aramark Award in 2011.

"My greatest award so far is the district food service director of the year award that I received in 2013 because it was presented to me by the resident district manager," Conti said.

Conti is already setting goals for his new role.

"I feel that I am making a difference while working to provide nutritious food at our locations and enjoy assisting our customers while they achieve their academic ambitions," he said. "My goal is to continue to ensure that we are enriching and nourishing lives through our operations every day."

When he is not at work, Conti is hitting the books and studying to achieve a master's degree in business administration at UH-Downtown.

"I decided to go back for my master's because I want to further my education and career in the food service industry," he said. "My goal is to achieve a master's degree with a focus on supply chain management."

In his spare time, Conti enjoys spending time with his wife, riding his bicycle and playing golf.

"I enjoy playing a round of golf at Bear Creek Golf Course," he said. "I also enjoy relaxing with my family, which includes our 3-year-old cat, Trix."
