TDECU Stadium Hosting Several High School Football Playoff Games

Houston, Nov. 12, 2014 — The University of Houston will host several high school football playoff games at TDECU Stadium over the next two weekends.

The schedule is as follows:

Friday, Nov. 14

  • Pearland High vs. Deer Park (6A Division I, Region III) at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 15

  • Foster High vs. Ridge Point (5A Division I, Region III) at 2 p.m.
  • George Ranch High vs. Elkins (5A Division I, Region III) at 6 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 21

  • Matchup TBD, kickoff at 7 p.m.

The games are each expected to draw between 12,000 and 15,000 visitors to campus. As a result, the UH community may experience some traffic delays. In addition, there is a chance more games could be added the following weekend.

TDECU Stadium is Houston's newest sports and entertainment venue. Besides hosting Cougar football games, it will offer a variety of entertainment shows including Nitro Circus Live in May. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit
